Final Two Legs of the Clipper Round the World Race, Speaker Lizzy Grim

Lizzy Grim will be speaking on her adventures preparing for and sailing in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race representing the hometown on the Clipper 70, Seattle. Lizzy competed in two legs sailing from Seattle down to Panama (with a quick fueling stop in Costa Rica), through the Panama Canal to Bermuda then to New York before an epic North Atlantic crossing to Derry Northern Ireland and then a quick trip up and over the UK to finish in London. Topics will include fundraising, training for the race, gear selection, her experience with the race on and off the water, and ample time for your burning questions. Lizzy co-owns a Catalina 27 named Happy Place with her mother. Elly Cyr and is an active member of the racing community with some dabbling in cruising.
