Social & Educational Programs
Getting people together on and off the water is probably the most rewarding value of the club. Leschi sailors get together after racing at club-organized barbeques.
Our Shilshole clubhouse is open to members Thursdays and Fridays year-round and after evening and weekend racing (over 100 nights a year). The bar is often run by volunteers and our $6 dinners are expertly prepared by our private chef, serving over 5,000 dinners per year.
Sometimes we’re just open to hang out and other times we have a program, live music, wine tastings, and sailing presentations by our members.

Upcoming Social and Educational Events
Our members love to learn and share. Each year we run dozens of education events including the Rookie Rally (learn how to crew and race), pre-race strategy chalk talks, cruising presentations, first aid, US Sailing courses (race management, judging, safe powerboat handling), markset driver training, women’s sailing clinics, and even volunteer bartender training.

CYC hosts numerous weekly events, including Monday Lunch, Thursday Happy Hours, and Friday Socials. Check the Events Calendar for the schedule, menu, and drinks specials. If you have your Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST), we invite you to volunteer as a bartender.
A luncheon gathering of sailors and others interested in sailing. Once or twice a month we have guest speakers.
CYC hosts Thursday Dinners with weekly drinks specials and dinner available. Members, kids, and guests are welcome.
The Clubhouse is open most Friday evenings to help you unwind at the end of your week. Members, kids, and guests are welcome.
To maintain a quality program, there will be a $25 charge (or no refund, whichever is less) for cancellations once registrations have been processed. Exceptions may be made by the current Commodore.
