Are you scared to touch your radar? Afraid you’ll blow something up or let the “magic smoke” out? Not sure what you’re looking at? Never turn it on until you’re in a thick fog bank?

Retired US Navy Master Chief Electronics Technician (Submarines) Mark Philiposian will be taking the theories we learned in previous seminars out on the Sound with a live Zoom call to put them into practice. We will take the fear and uncertainty out of operating your radar and show you what happens when you:

  • Adjust gain
  • Change scales
  • Adjust STC/FTC/Rain/Sea controls
  • Change between Course Up, North Up, and Heading Up
  • Track targets using basic ARPA plotting aids
  • Use radar (and soundings) to confirm your primary position source accuracy

We will be live from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM (possibly a bit longer if we’re really having fun!)
