Monday Lunch Guest Speaker: Peter Jennings

Commemoration of Tom Nylund

We will be gathering to share memories of Star Sailor and CYC Honorary Life Member Tom Nylund who passed away in August. Tom's wife Barbara and son Lars will be joining us. Tom was a member of CYC for 62 years, a regular attendee of Monday Lunch and for years did many projects around the clubhouse. He will be greatly missed. We will begin our remembrances of Tom at 11:30. If there are additional memories to share we will continue while we are eating lunch.

Work Boat Tour of the Broughtons

We will also have Peter Jennings sharing his recent adventures in British Columbia at 12:30. Peter Jennings, a Monday Lunch regular, will share his recent experience off the beaten path in British Columbia on a Marine Link Tours. The tour was on the 135 foot MV Aurora Explorer with a crew of six and carrying 12 passengers.  MV Aurora Explorer is a working boat that services the Broughtons and her route is determined by the freight to be delivered in or out of the remote fish farms, logging camps, marinas etc. Peter will share his insight on this unique tour and experience.
