Big thank you to our initial speakers for the Fridays in February Cruising Talks for kicking off another great series. CYC members Scott and Kristen Meilicke did a wonderful presentation the first week of sharing their adventure to Mexico with their kids and dogs, openly sharing the many lessons they learned and fun times had by all. Hays and Jennifer Clark followed on the second Friday doing the same with their adventure to Alaska with their two daughters, sharing incredible drone footage of a humpback whale bubble feeding. Both families are great role models for our members to go out and go adventuring with your boat, either in our home waters or further afield. Thank you for taking the time to prepare your presentations and share your adventures with our members.
And thanks to our fabulous Friday volunteers Suzette Connolly for filling in as MC. Britt Larson for bartending and Mike Cui for his consistent volunteer help.
Thanks to Sheri Medley for organizing the Super Bowl Party. They had over 40 people join them to cheer the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory!
Thank you to Bret and Joyce Phillips as well as Ralph De La O and Elizabeth Prout for volunteering to help out at the first Fridays in February Speaker series this past Feb 2.
