Volunteer

CYC is a wonderful community of people who all love to sail. Each of us has unique skills and we like to pitch in with our time and expertise.

Welcome and thank you for considering giving your time to CYC as a volunteer. Your contribution means a lot.

The purpose of the Club is to promote, advance and encourage the sport of Corinthian (amateur) sailing, including racing and cruising, and to strengthen the sailing community through the voluntary actions of its members.

Become a a volunteer!

We understand how full your lives are but how can you best give your time to CYC in a way that helps strengthen our community?

Do you prefer to be on the water with race committee, do odd jobs around the clubhouse, work on an event or create an event, or do odd jobs in the office?

Check out the opportunities on the list and calendar below and go for it!

5 Things to know about volunteering at CYC

  1. We really need your help.
  2. Volunteering is part of our bylaws.
  3. Volunteering doesn’t always require a lot of your time. We have something for everybody.
  4. You get to spend time with other members or work independently.
  5. Most importantly, we are a member-owned club, which relies on volunteers. Low dues do not enable us to pay staff to do it all the things we would like to do.
