Eagle Harbor’s new city dock and ramp are open!

The City of Bainbridge Island recently announced the opening of the new and much approved city dock and boat launch. At nearly 900 feet in length, the new public use dock is more than double the length of the dock it replaced, and almost twice as wide as the old dock.
The new dock greatly expands moorage for visiting boats, and increases the area for launching and retrieving trailered boats. The boat launch ramp has been extended to allow trailered boats to launch at lower tides. Features of the new dock include all-aluminum framing with non-slip decking, improved lighting, potable water and electrical connections, new sewage disposal facilities, and a concession float that will offer kayak and paddleboard rentals. A lower, side-dock allows easy access for hand-powered watercraft.
Harbormaster Tami Allen said, “We are pretty happy that the new city dock in Eagle Harbor is open. Come on in, first come first served, and put out fenders for rafting up. The cost is still a low $0.50 per foot per night and $0.10 per foot for stays under 3 hours. There are two sewage pumpout stations and the new ramp is longer reaching a -2′ tide.”
