Invitation: The Puget Sound Six Meter Association invites Six Metre sailors to race in the 2022 Sir Thomas Lipton Challenge Cup.
Venue: Seattle, Washington. Racing will take place in the body of water known as Shilshole Bay. All racing yachts will be moored at Dock W of Shilshole Bay Marina:

Rules: The regatta will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing in addition to the rules of the International Six Metre Class, and the Deed of gift of the Sir Thomas Lipton Challenge Cup except as amended by the sailing instructions.
Eligibility: This regatta is open to all International Six Metre Yachts as defined by the measurement Rule and holding a valid measurement certificate. Yachts without a valid measurement certificate may be allowed to race at the discretion of the organizing authority, the Puget Sound Six Meter Association. Eligible yachts may enter by completing the entry form and paying the entry fee.
Schedule: Five races are scheduled, conditions permitting. Three races shall constitute a championship.

Courses: Racing will be on courses of windward-leeward. Courses and course lengths will be as conditions permit. All yachts, both classics and moderns shall start at the same time.
Scoring: The series will be scored as provided in Appendix A as amended by the sailing instructions. The scoring penalty as provided in RRS 44.3 shall apply.
Awards: The Sir Thomas Lipton Challenge Cup shall be awarded to the overall winner of the event. (Note: the physical Challenge Cup trophy is held in perpetuity by the Seattle Yacht Club.) Additional trophies and/or commemorative awards may be given at the pleasure of the organizing authority.
