This class runs for five consecutive Fridays, from 3:30 to 6:00.

Have you ever wanted to participate in sail camp because your kid has had so much fun? Now is your chance! This once a week five session class for parents and children offers a great opportunity to bond and learn with your child while you both sail on a Vanguard 15. No experience necessary for either the adult or child.

Registration cost is for you and your child.

Students will be required to perform a capsize test the first day of class, wet suits are advised but not required.

Sailing terminology

All instruction possible will occur outdoors, and if indoor instruction occurs due to weather, social distancing will be practiced. Our CYC clubhouse offers two stories of open floor plans which are great during inclement weather. We will be conducting temperature checks and a COVID questionnaire with all students and staff at the beginning of each day, and requiring masks at all times while off the water. Each boat will be cleaned between each use and will be used by the same sailors throughout the week. If a student shows signs of COVID in any way during the week, they will be asked to leave the camp.

All our sail camps require your child to pass a simple safety check in the water for liability. This safety check is performed during the beginning of their session on Monday, and is a basic swim and capsize check, with a life jacket on. Please be aware that if your child cannot enter the water, they will be asked to not come back and we cannot offer a refund.
