Enjoy socializing with fellow women sailors at CYC starting at 6:00 pm, February 20. Captain Nancy Erley, who skippered two world circumnavigations with all-women crews on her Orca 38 sailboat, Tethys, will share her experiences of "How to Steer With the Sails". Nancy will include real life tricks she's used for hands-off steering without an auto pilot or wind vane and how to steer if the rudder falls off. Enjoy her true sea stories and easy ways to experiment with your boat (just in case) and for the fun of it. It’s technical with a dose of an adventure.
The event is $7 for CYC members and $10 for Seattle Sailing Club members and non-members - a light dinner is included in the ticket price. Feel free to bring a guest and a bottle of wine to share. The CYC bar will not be open.
Join us in our casual and friendly environment to network with other like-minded women and make some new connections. Our women's social is open to women with any sailing interest from true beginners to life long sailors. See you at the next Third Thursday!
