The main sections of this web site are

• CYC Discussion Forums. This set of forums is provided by our web site host Sailingsource.com. You can ask questions, answer posted questions, or make remarks in forums of interest to CYC sailors. These are moderated public access forums, so anybody can contribute. Contributions are posted immediately and automatically, but the moderator can (and will) delete unseemly or inappropriate postings.

• Marine Weather - which has links to NOAA and UW Atmospheric Science forecast and weather report data. Near the end of the page there is a link to the site that David Burch at Starpath Navigation has set up. This site has lots of information, detail, and maps galore.

• Racing Information Connects to race business, the schedule, and the results, which we try to keep updated as fast as possible and then as accurately as possible. Unfortunately speed and accuracy are not always compatible. The date of posting or the date of revision is given at the end of each table of results. Race business includes links to the registration page, the racebook, notices, US Sailing rules, and other features of racing bureaucracy.

• The Home Page tells about the CYC, its officers, its facilities, rental, and membership. There are links to the Club history and to the main areas of the rest of the web site.

• News and Events has three sections:

  • General Information includes the complete CYC and College Club Calendars, with links to events for the past, present, and coming months, various lists of things, like the CYC awards and officers, and a link to the CYC Cruising Program and a link to the notices to mariners. Details about current events might also appear here.
  • Regattas has links to announcements, publicity, and results from regattas that seem to be of interest to the CYC. If you are involved in or are interested in a regatta not linked here, let us know about it.
  • Racing Information has information on handicapping and links to a page of links to all the fleets and local organizations that we are aware of. Also here are links to the latest Sailing Rules and latest amendments. and links to major races, such as the Vic Maui.
